چکیده
Abstract Background and Aims Maintenance hemodialysis (MHD) patients have been identified as a high-risk group for COVID-19 infection. Serological testing can be used to monitor disease prevalence & evaluate screening measures protocols aiming at limiting transmission within dialysis units. This study was conducted observe the sero of infection among maintenance patients. Method The during 3rd wave covid-19 Total 194 in-center MHD were included from three centers. Relevant history regarding symptom, testing, managements vaccination collected. During our serum sample collected test IgG antibody against nucleocapsid protein (NP) (cut-off positive when >1.5) spike (S) >50 AIU/L) tested by Chemiluminescent microparticle immunoassay (CMIA) method developed Abbott (FDA-EUA approved). Results Mean age subjects 48±12 years where male 60%. Duration 31±22 (6-120) months. Renal pathology DN in 31%, possible GN 31%,HTN 19% rest others .From records past covid clinically diagnosed 39% which 10% based on RT-PCR another 29% fell into suspected category (i.e. symptom with/or suggestive serology). Presentation pattern mild 75%, moderate 15% (requiring oxygen), severe 5% hospitalization) asymptomatic 5%. Vaccine availed 38%. In vaccinated vs. non-vaccinated NP 63% 561%(P = 0.65) S 99% 98%(P 0.56). These indicate naturally acquired immunity most before any vaccination. titer between groups 7743±8920 5386± 6839 AIU/L (p 0.06). correlation showed that has no with duration, age, BMI, Hb%, albumin or Kt/V. Similarly shows mostly significant laboratory parameters. Conclusion data demonstrate seroprevalence population only half infected SARS-CoV-2 indicates larger number are even vaccinated. Therefore studies both should identify greater until more sensitive tools established.

Evaluation of expression and titration of recombinant nucleocapsid protein as an immunogenic candidate against SARS-CoV2
Introduction: Covid-19 epidemic results from an infection caused by SARS-CoV2. Evolution-based analyses on the nucleotide sequences show that SARS-CoV2 is a member of the genus Beta-coronaviruses and its genome consists of a single-stranded RNA, encoding 16 proteins. Among the structural proteins, the nucleocapsid is the most abundant protein in virus structure, highly immunogenic, with sequenc...
متن کاملHyperglycemia and antibody titres against heat shock protein 27 in traumatic brain injury patients on parenteral nutrition
Objective(s):Hyperglycemia worsens the neuronal death induced by cerebral ischemia. Previous studies demonstrated that diabetic hyperglycemia suppressed the expression of heat shock protein 70 and 60 (HSP70 and 60) in the liver. IgG antibody titres against heat shock protein 27 (anti HSP27) were measured to determine whether hyperglycemia exacerbates ischemic brain damage by suppressing the exp...
متن کاملDesigning an ELISA Method for Measurement of Human IgG and IgM Antibodies against SARS-CoV-2
Background and purpose: Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is a respiratory disease caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2). In this study, an indirect ELISA method was designed to measure the human IgM and IgG antibodies against SARS-CoV-2. Materials and methods: Protein sequence of nucleocapsid antigen from SARS-CoV-2 was expressed in E. coli BL21 and then was...
متن کاملInterpretation of Serologic Test Results and Evaluation of Humoral Immune Response After Vaccination Following Infection with COVID-19 Disease
SARS-CoV-2 virus infection induces a cellular and humoral mediated immune response and produces antibodies against viral antigens such as nucleocapsid (N) protein and spike (S) protein. Anti-protein S antibodies also target the spike protein subunit S1 and the receptor binding domain (RBD). Serologic tests can detect the presence of these antibodies in blood serum within a few days to a few wee...
